Biography
Since the mid-90's, this vinyl junkie has had an addiction for breaks, house, oldschool, funk, and hip-hop. A veteran of the East Coast rave scene, Pete was exposed to many talented artists of the years. This lead to him being chosen to host one of the longest running Goovetech.com shows based out of New York, at the renowned Halcyon. During his time in Brooklyn, Pete co-founded Blunted Funk Recordings, which has released over a dozen records featuring the sounds of artists including John Larner, Bryan Zentz, QBurns Abstract Message, Kraddy, Moody Eva and Deron, and many other rising stars.
After years of memorable Bay Area appearances, Pete decided to move to San Francisco at the beginning of 2005 to push the Blunted Funk sound on the left coast. A few months later, he was asked to be resident at John Colins, where he continues to host events with diverse international talent. He's also been quite busy in the studio, with a slew of new original and remix projects on deck. His remix (with label-partner Scottie B) of Sulli and Alexander East's "Up All Night" made it to # 32 on the Balance UK Charts in the fall of '06.
